上個星期日Hunter Annie
& Hunter Shirley就出動
去咗豬潤麵出哂名,位於深水埗嘅「維記咖啡粉麵」
呢間茶記巴閉到有三個門面架
星期日,十點鐘,人唔算多,易搵位
Hello, Lovely readers! As a local in Hong Kong, I did missed some restaurants that worth to try but you need to overcome the long long queue. If you ask me the MOST famous Cha Chaan Teng in Sham Shui Po(SSP),I would say Wai Kee Noodle Cafe. But I never been to there,even I live in Shek Kip Mei, Cuz every time I walk pass the Cafe, many many peoples were waiting. And they actually have 3 shop on the same street next to each other but still people mountain people sea, especially in holiday at busy hours. People would drove there for the food.
This time, Annie and I picked the perfect timing to visit the cafe, it was the past Sunday morning at 10am, which you would see the people that share table with you just look like your neighbours,dress in casual wear with lots of yawning, and aiming for a perfect start for the day.

開房式廚房俾你睇得通透、食得安心
圓枱、膠凳等你三五知己坐埋一枱
The setting of the cafe is very simple, round tables with round chairs, no single additioal decoration to the cafe, just simply the basic for a restaurant. The staffs who work there feel like your auntie and uncles, they are all very nice but you may want to be fat when ordering, cuz they are so good at memorizing things, they would want you to think faster! HAHA!

仲有仲有呀,啲姐姐好親切,重點係,佢哋記性超強呀!

姐姐都唔需要一筆一紙記低,就可以倒背如流,覆你一次
The menus is on the wall, and no english, you may need to show them the photo or prepare translation to make order.
There are lots of combination of macaroni, instant noodles and Meifu(which is made from rice.At last, Annie ordered Pig Liver with Meifu(豬潤米) and I had the Pig Liver and sliced beef Macaroni(豬潤牛通).
呢日,我哋各嗌咗碗豬潤米 & 潤牛通好好滋補一吓喇
嘩嘩嘩!一上台,啲豬潤、牛肉足料到嚇親我哋
一碗粉麵嘅精髓在於佢嘅湯頭
所以即刻整啖湯飲
啲湯好鮮甜,仲有少少薑絲吊吓味
The food arrived very fast,the look was not nice but we never judge people by how they look, right?
I first took a sip of the soup,and I surprised by it. The stock is cooked with Pig Liver and ginger, the ginger gives warmth to the stock, the stock is savory and had no weird favour from the pig liver.
維記豬潤咁出名,梗係要試番舊啦
啲豬潤勁新鮮,一啲異味都冇,一啲都唔腥
就算怕咗內臟嘅你都一定夠膽吞落肚呀
而且厚度啱啱好,食落又滑又爽口,一啲都唔粉呀!
Hunter Shirley嘅潤牛通啲牛肉一樣好新鮮,一啲都唔老又唔柴
The liver on top is so nice,it is in thin slices which it is tender and a bit chewy at the same time that means the liver is very fresh. And you can also taste the freshness from the beef, it probably becoz the wet market is near by,so the meat is so fresh.
你睇我哋食都見底就知幾正啦!
It was so tasty that we cleaned all up. I surely wanted to finish the soup as well but it would be indecent!!

Hunter Shirley心思思又走咗去嘆個咖央西多士
由於一號鋪放飯,其他兩間鋪都大排長龍
呢個時間都咁多人,就知佢幾正啦!
As I said before, I live very near to Sham Shui Po. So I had the second visit for the toast. The Kaya french toast is also well-known, but the time I arrived was at noon, there are people lining up in front of each shop, so I took away the toast instead.
維記嘅咖央都好出名架!
呢個咖央多用兩塊面包夾住自家製嘅咖央(有蛋、糖、牛油)
淨係個賣相已經贏咗啦
佢唔似一般嘅咖央咁深色,反而沾咗啲蛋漿,煎到兩邊金黃色
重點係,煎咖央西多士會比平時用炸嘅用得更少油
所以咬落去唔會一口油,唔會覺得好heavy
食落蛋香味仲好出,外脆內軟
入面啲咖央仲唔會好甜,啱哂唔鍾意太甜嘅你
The Kaya French Toast(咖央西多士) is crispy and gold outside, but soft and full of Kaya insde. The Kaya is different from the Singapore's or Malaysia's. It didnt have the favour from coconut but the less-sweetness of the sauce taste as good as the one with coconut. The toast is full of the favour of egg which I LOVED!! Definitely need to try it, Superb!!
