相傳拿破崙當年同佢啲兵去到法國南部時
夜晚諗住喺附近一個叫Bessieres嘅小鎮休息吓
呢個時候，熱情嘅客棧老闆就準備咗一個巨大奄列俾拿破崙
拿破崙食咗之後，不得了！太好味！
即刻叫成個鎮嘅鎮民，拎哂成個鎮啲雞蛋出嚟
要佢哋準備好多好多好多好多奄列俾佢啲兵仔第二朝食
於是奄列就係咁就發揚光大咗

Back in the time when Napoleon Bonaparte still ruled France, his army and him travelled to the south of France, they rested in a town called Bessieres at night. And a friendly owner of the Inn prepared him a huge omelette and he just loved it. He asked the locals in the town to prepare serves of omelette with all the eggs in town, and served to his army in the next morning. And like every tale, what King likes would always become the trend, the omelette is popluar ever since!

因為奄列係同蜜糖夾埋一齊食
所以就叫Ovemele，即係蛋加蜜糖嘅意思

但其實喺14世紀就已經有 「alumete」字，仲被廣泛應用

總之奄列就係首先打好蛋漿
喺蛋上面加入自己鍾意嘅餡
之後再將煎好嘅蛋對摺，變成半圓形，咁就搞掂架喇！
台灣就鍾意用培根做餡，叫做「培根蛋餅」
日本就鍾意加入用蕃茄醬炒飯做餡，亦即係所謂嘅「蛋包飯」
而香港茶餐廳最興嘅就係加火腿、咸牛肉、鮮牛肉、午餐肉、豆.....做餡
真係好味得嚟又營養價值豐富呀！
